An essay containing analyses of nine different puzzle games! Available in PDF, Twine, and ePub formats. The Twine edition has embedded Youtube videos with gameplay footage of each of the puzzle games, and it's the version I recommend reading.

The puzzle games analyzed are Lumines, the Pokemon Trozei games, the Puzzle Challenge games, Puzzle Fighter, Puyo Pop Fever, Dr. Mario, Tetris, and Pushamo.

Interesting read! You have some good insights here; I especially liked your distinction between the pre- and post-guideline Tetris play styles. I also really appreciated the Twine version for the built-in video demonstrations of gameplay. Good work!
